Audio/Video Equipment

Courthouse Annex

Carroll County Circuit Court’s audio/video equipment is integrated into the CourtSmart digital recording system in all four courtrooms in the Courthouse Annex. The list of the equipment is as follows:

  • Permanently mounted projector and screen;
  • Polycom for video bail reviews;
  • DVD player – Only 3 formats are supported by this player; they are WMA, MP3 and JPEG files; please be certain your DVD’s are in one of these three formats or the DVD cannot be played on this player; should your DVD be in another format, it will be necessary for you to bring your personal laptop in order to play the DVD;
  • VCR player;
  • Document camera;
  • Cabling to connect a personal laptop for power point presentations or displaying any documents or pictures currently on your laptop; you must bring your personal laptop to run any power point presentations or display any documents or pictures currently on your laptop;
Historic Courthouse

Courtroom 1 (the large ceremonial Courtroom) is the only courtroom in the Historic Courthouse equipped with audio/video equipment. This equipment is also integrated into the CourtSmart digital recording system. The list of the equipment is as follows:

  • Polycom for video bail reviews;
  • 32” SONY TV;
  • VCR/DVD Combination Player;
All Bailiffs have been trained on the proper use of all equipment in both the Courthouse Annex and the Historic Courthouse. Therefore, it is requested that ONLY the Bailiffs operate the equipment.
