All Transcript/CD requests are to be made through the Court Reporters' Office of the Circuit Court for Carroll County. Completed transcripts/CDs may be picked up from this office, Monday through Friday, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Transcripts

Only transcripts prepared and certified by this Court’s transcription company are deemed official and can be admitted as evidence. A law firm check, certified check or money order should be made payable to CompuScribe and returned to the Court Reporters’ Office along with the completed Transcript Order Form. Transcription rates are as follows:

CDs

Our Court Reporting staff can produce a CD (playable on computers with Windows 98 or higher). CDs are made from the original master recording; duplication is strictly prohibited. They are not certified for court use; they are provided for verification of testimony only. They may not be used as the official court record in place of a transcript. In addition, only transcripts prepared and certified by this Court’s transcription company are deemed official and can be admitted as evidence. Any broadcast of these proceedings is strictly prohibited.

CDs are available for $25 each, but are only available for hearings held after March 23, 2006. A personal check or money order is preferred, made payable to Commissioners of Carroll County. Please note - CDs can only be played back using a computer - software needed to listen to the digital recording is included on the CD.
