Carroll County Comprehensive Mineral Resources Plan and Implementation Mechanisms

The Carroll County Comprehensive Mineral Resources Plan and Implementation Mechanisms was adopted by the Board of Carroll County Commissioners on February 27, 1992 in accordance with Article 66B of the Annotated Code of Maryland. The Mineral Resource Plan identifies and defines natural resource areas and incorporates the appropriate land use policies and recommendations designed to protect these areas from the preemption of mineral resource extraction by other land uses. Viable and Mineral Resource Areas as well as Mineral Resource Notification Areas have been adopted as elements of the Carroll County Master Plan map.
