May 5 & 6 -
Civil War Living History Reenactment - Witness Living History in the remaking as various regiments occupy the grounds surrounding the family Farmhouse. Guests may visit the camps. Artisans will demonstrate skills from the 1800s.
May 19 & 20 -
Blacksmith Days - Hosted by the Blacksmith Guild of Central Maryland. There will be guest blacksmith demonstrations, hands-on classes and an auction of blacksmith equipment and forged items. For more information go to bgcmonline.org
June 2 -
Spring Muster and Antique Fire Equipment Show - Hosted by the Chesapeake Antique Fire Apparatus Association, a chapter of SPAAMFAA. Antique fire equipment is on display and there is a flea market of fire service items. Event located near the pond off Ag Center Road. For more information go to cafaa.net
June 9 -
Deer Creek Fiddlers’ Convention, presented by Common Ground on the Hill Bluegrass, old-time and Celtic music and dance competition. Shade tree jamming. Evening concert. Competition with prize money to winners.
July 4 –
OLD-FASHIONED JULY 4TH PICNIC/ CELEBRATION/ FIREWORKS - Celebration includes onstage entertainment, children’s games, food and crafts for sale. Fireworks are sponsored by Kiwanis Club of Westminster.
July 7 & 8 -
Common Ground on the Hill's Roots Music & Arts Festival - Traditional music, dance, and food from diverse American cultures. A family-oriented event with programming for all ages. For more information go to commongroundonthehill.org
July 21 -
Summertime Fun Festival - Enjoy Maryland's famous seafood and beef cuisine which will be available for purchase. Stage entertainment; summertime activities and games.
September 7, 8, & 9-
Steam Show Days - The Mason Dixon Historical Society presents antique farm machinery, steam and gas engines, and antique cars on display. Working demonstrations include saw milling, shingle sawing and branding, baling, threshing, and grinding. Flea market, food for sale and hayrides.
September 15 & 16 -
The Maryland Wine Festival® - The Maryland Wine Festival® features: tasting of local wines, wine seminars, continuous on-stage entertainment, crafts, and a variety of delicious cuisine for sale.
October 20 & 21 -
Fall Harvest Days - Traditional autumn happenings may include apple butter making, farm machinery demonstrations, tractor and mule pulled wagon rides, scarecrow making, and children's games. Country food and crafts for sale and on-stage entertainment.
December 5 - 16 -
Holiday Tour - The Museum is decorated in holiday fashion with Santa visits, food sales, holiday music, and mule pulled wagon rides.
