Fall Harvest Days

Fall Harvest Days, the Farm Museum's oldest and second largest event, is held each October to celebrate the arrival of autumn. A fun day for the whole family, the two-day event features traditional autumn happenings which include apple butter making, scarecrow making workshops, threshing and shelling demonstrations, tractor and mule-pulled wagon rides, and much more.

Fall Harvest Days is co-sponsored by the Carroll County Times and WPOC Radio FM 93.1. Continuous country music is performed on-stage each day by talented local musicians and highlighted by the appearance on Saturday of an up and coming country music recording artist provided by WPOC.

A large variety of delicious country foods is available to purchase, and approximately 45 craft vendors have beautiful hand-crafted items for sale - a great time to begin your Holiday shopping!

In addition, guided tours of the 1800s Farmhouse are given from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Artisans demonstrate old-time skills in the Living History Center, and may include weaving, spinning, wood carving, broom making, basketry, tinsmithing, quilting, American tin painting, blacksmithing, open hearth cooking, and rug hooking. The Museum Gift Shop is open with an abundance of artisan-made items, candy, a large variety of stuffed animals, and gift and holiday items.
