The GIS division of the Department of Technology Services is responsible for the
design, management, integration, and documentation of enterprise GIS resources including the
maintenance of a centralized GIS data server, the GIS internet server and web presence, and GIS
software licensing. The division also has responsibility for supporting the County's use of GIS
technology by coordinating the development of geographic databases and data standards,
educating agencies about GIS technology, and developing applications which meet those agencies' needs.
