The nature center provides approximately 300 programs each year to the general public. Activities serve a wide range of ages, i.e., 2 1/2 to senior citizen. Programs are mostly for 3- to 6-year-olds. Popular ongoing programs include "Nature Camp," K-6th grade; "Mother Nature, Mom & Me," 3-5 years and parent; "Country Holiday Craft Workshops," adult; stargazing parties, families; field trips; Apple Festival; After-School Adventures, grades 3-8. The center is open year-round: Tue-Fri 10-5, Sat and Sun 1-5 from April 1 to October 31; Tue-Fri 10-4 from November 1 to March 31. There are dozens of exhibits, including live reptiles, injured hawks, vultures, and owls. School programs are offered year-round. The naturalists are available to answer questions, lead hikes, and present programs. Calendars of events are available at the center and mailed to members.
