HOURS OF OPERATION

Effective April 6th, 2015, our hours of operation for fingerprinting are Mondays and Fridays from 9:00am to 12:00pm and Wednesdays from 9:00am to 3:00pm.  An appointment is required for both LiveScan and ink fingerprint services.  If you are a business who needs multiple employees fingerprinted, please see below for further instructions.  Please click here "Livescan Fingerprinting" to make an appointment.  You may also contact Ms. Dani Schubert, LiveScan Coordinator at 410-386-2835 during normal business hours to schedule an appointment.  Due to volunteer and LiveScan operator availability, we are unable to accept walk-in appointments.  If you are not available during these hours, please contact Essential Support Services, LLC. in Eldersburg at 1-866-388-9606 to have them service your request.

BUSINESSES

Businesses or Organizations with multiple applicants to be fingerprinted via LiveScan are requested to contact Ms. Dani Schubert at 410-386-2835 to set up an appointment.

INK PRINTS OR CARDS

We do roll ink prints, however we do not supply ink print cards.  If you need ink prints rolled, you or the person/business requesting you to be fingerprinted must supply the cards.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING

  • For LIVESCAN ELECTRONIC FINGERPRINTS ONLY, you must bring a
Pre-registration fingerprint application to your appointment.  If you fail to bring this form with you, your appointment may be delayed and/or have to be rescheduled.  This form can be downloaded by clicking the above Pre-registration fingerprint application link above.
  • All applicants will be required to show one VALID form of Government issued personal identification with your picture on it (driver’s license, military ID, passport, or any other official document).  Please bring this with you on the day of your appointment.
  • You MUST have your ORI number and authorization number prior to being processed.  If you do not have these numbers, please contact the employer/agency requesting your fingerprints and background to acquire them.
  • Please DO NOT put heavy lotions or moisturizers on your hands prior to coming in to be fingerprinted.  Clean, lotion free hands will make your process run much more smoothly.

FEES

Electronic fingerprints are sent directly to the State and/or FBI, therefore, we will need to collect these fees and our rolling fee prior to being printed.  These fees vary depending on the reasons for your fingerprinting.  Click on this FEE SCHEDULE for a breakdown of the various fees and other locations.  PLEASE NOTE:  We can only accept Cash, Checks, and Money Orders.  We do not accept credit cards and cannot accept bills larger than $50.  If paying by a check or money order (preferred method), you will need to bring two; one made payable to the Commissioners of Carroll County in the amount as designated by the fee schedule and one made payable to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office for $10, which is the rolling fee.  Ink prints are a flat rate of $5 per card.

If your organization has pre-registered with us AND you have a form with the signature of an AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE, the company will be billed for all fees.

If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Dani Schubert at 410-386-2835.  The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is not responsible for missed appointments, cancellations, or emergencies that may arise causing an appointment to be rescheduled.
